Mitsubishi ASX 2017 premiere in virtual reality

  • 29.12.2016

Up to 100 devices of Samsung Gear VR were used by the participants of the Mitsubishi ASX 2017 premiere. Thanks to this technology the journalists took a virtual drive with the presented car model. The press conference was held on 14th December 2016 in BABKA lease space in Warsaw. The project was carried out by the Advanced Communication agency.

Nina Żukowsa, Event Director of Advanced Communication, states: The VR technology is developing very quickly. Its usage during events becomes more and more popular among event organizers and customers. I am really glad that Mitsubishi Motors decided to implement our idea, which was also a very innovative undertaking. This was the first show of this type in Poland. The availability of professional goggles in our country is highly limited. I must admit that getting this amount of devices and their synchronization by proper application was quite a challenge.

Current VR shows were limited to the use of few devices which only had a function of additional attraction during the event. There were also cardboard type goggles used but these cannot guarantee such experience as HTC Vive, Oculus Rift or Samsung Gear VR. A hundred of Samsung Gear VR goggles is as far the greatest amount of devices used for the virtual reality show at once.

The premiere of Mitsubishi ASX 2017 was held in the creative space of “BABKA do wynajęcia” lease space and was aimed at journalists. Apart from the feature virtual drive, the guests had a possibility to see two special versions of this car: Cool Edition and RalliArt. Part of them took test drives. The meeting was conducted by the brand ambassador, Anna Cieślak.

The partners of the event: VR Visio, MuddyHill, Virtual Quest, World of VR, InGame, Visau.
